SFP Wealth came together as a merger of two established multi-generational financial services practices in 2005. With a common-sense approach and an overriding desire to provide a planning-oriented experience for all clients, Tom Cappucci, Dan Cappucci, and Andrew Cleary quickly transitioned from three individual financial advisors into a three partner practice. Each partner brings a unique area of expertise to the practice with the common goal to help each client fulfill their financial needs.
Tom Cappucci's career as an educator, which led to his start in financial services in 1994, laid the groundwork for the team's educate-first approach. Tom was instrumental in developing much of the team's curricula for financial planning seminars and retirement plan meetings. Tom was frequently asked to speak to groups both large and small by his colleagues and other advisors within the firm. Tom always maintained the perspective that clients do not need a high net worth to benefit from financial planning.
Before working with Tom, Dan Cappucci was responsible for assisting over 120 fee based financial plans for Strategic Financial Partners. With this experience, Dan began working with Tom in 2004 and the two quickly demonstrated the power of teamwork. Dan's technical, process-oriented approach, combined with Tom's educator's experiences quickly resonated with new and existing clients.
Andrew Cleary joined the firm in 2005 and began working with his father Robert B. Cleary, a 50+ year veteran of the insurance business and a prominent figure in the Boston business, athletic and philanthropic community. Andrew rapidly learned the more complex aspects of the various insurance lines, specifically life insurance, and quickly understood that a holistic planning approach is critical to long-term success. The three partners consistently operated under the mantra, “How would I want to be treated in this situation, if I were the client.” This guiding principle has and will always be fundamental to the team's planning approach, service model, and success.
Today SFP Wealth is a team of high-level financial professionals with decades of collective experience across a wide variety of disciplines. Members of our team maintain leading industry credentials including the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®), Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), and the Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS®) designation. Our SFP Wealth support staff includes a Portfolio Manager, Retirement Plan Manager, multiple Client Service Associates, and multiple Operations Associates. These team resources, paired with our association with Baystate Financial, afford our clients the expertise, technology, and service that few firms can deliver.
