
John has worked in the financial services industry for more than 30 years. He joined Baystate Financial Services in March of 2005. Prior to joining Baystate, John was a Registered Representative of 1717 Capital Management Company, and the managing partner at Farrelly, Hammer & Smith. His practice covers all aspects of financial planning, including: investment management, asset protection, retirement and estate planning.
John holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation, the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation, and the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designations from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He holds the Series 6, 63, 65, and 7 securities licenses, and is an active member of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners®, as well as the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
John serves on the Board of Advisors of the Boston University Program for Financial Planners, and the College of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. John is a Founding Member of the University of Massachusetts Club, Boston, MA. John is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He and his wife, Donna, live in the Back Bay section of Boston.
